Bamboo Invoice

May 20th, 2008 by Shane | Posted in Software, Tech | 1 Comment »

I recently started doing alot of side computer work. The problem with doing side work is keeping track of billing. Remembering who you need to send a bill too, who still owes you, and who has paid can be a daunting task when dealing with multiple customers at the same time. Mississippi River Water Level

April 18th, 2008 by Shane | Posted in New Orleans | 2 Comments »

This year the Mississippi River is at near flood stage in the city of New Orleans. This has prompted the Core of Engineers to open the Bonnie Carrie Spill way. I have gone and taken pictures to document this occasion. The spillway has not been opened in 11 years.

Currently the river is at 22 ft by the spillway. Down here in New Orleans the river is at 16 ft and expected to crest at 17 ft in the next week or so. The New Orleans levee system is only rate for 20 ft.

Here are some pictures of the river by Harvey Locks. The locks connect the river with the industrial canal.
